Awards

• Best Drama Short
• Best Horror Short
• Best Animated Short
• Best Narrative Music Video

• Films under 40 minutes are considered short films
• No premiere requirements
• Non-English language submissions must include English subtitles

Entry

• Entry in Japanese
  Purchase an entry ticket for your category on STORES. The fee is ¥3,900 (tax included) per category; one ticket covers one film.
• Entry in English
  Submit through FilmFreeway. Fees are listed on our FilmFreeway page.
• Deadline
  October 31, 2026, 23:59 (JST)
• Multiple Entries
  You may submit multiple films and enter multiple categories. A separate entry fee is required for each entry.

Schedule

• Selection
  The festival selects the nominated films (Official Selection) from all submissions.
• Notification
  Official Selection filmmakers will be notified directly between the submission deadline and the festival date.
• Screening & Awards
  Nominated films will be screened at J:COM Urayasu Concert Hall on November 11, 2026, where the winner of each category will be announced.

Submission Guidelines

By submitting your film, you agree that TCIF may use portions of your film — including trailers, teasers, and posters — for promotional purposes. You must have created the project yourself, own the rights, or have explicit permission from the rights holder.

1. Entries in non-English languages must include English subtitles.
2. You must own or have obtained all necessary rights to any material submitted.
3. Multiple entries are allowed. You may submit to multiple categories, but a separate entry fee is required for each.
4. Official Selection filmmakers will be notified directly.
5. All submission fees are non-refundable.
6. Personal information provided with your entry is used only for selection, notification, and screening operations. See our Privacy Policy.
